1. Who we are

New Seeds Education Ltd (“we”, “us”, “New Seeds Education”) is a private limited company registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal information processed via this website and in the delivery of our specialist education services.

  • Companies House number: 16614132 (registered in England & Wales)
  • Registered office: Walnut House, Kingswood Business Park, Albrighton, WV7 3AU
  • Data protection contact: office@newseedseducation.co.uk
  • Telephone: 01902 283 705

2. What personal information we collect

We collect only the personal information we need to respond to your enquiry, process a referral, deliver our services, meet our statutory obligations, or run the website. Depending on how you interact with us this may include:

  • Contact details you provide via forms (name, email, phone number, role and organisation)
  • Information you provide in referral or enquiry messages
  • Basic technical information about your visit (page views, device, browser, approximate location) collected via essential analytics

Where you refer a young person to us, we process personal information about that young person (and, where relevant, their family or carers) strictly to assess suitability and, where a placement proceeds, to deliver education and safeguarding functions.

3. Legal basis for processing

We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6:

  • Consent — where you have given clear consent (e.g. opting in to receive materials).
  • Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries and run the website, where our interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation — where we must process data to meet statutory requirements (e.g. safeguarding, KCSIE 2025).
  • Public task — where processing is necessary for our provision of education commissioned by a local authority.

For special-category data (e.g. EHCP information, health data) we additionally rely on Article 9(2)(b) or (g) and, where required, explicit consent.

4. How we share personal information

We do not sell personal information. We share personal information only where necessary, including with:

  • Commissioning local authorities, in relation to individual placements
  • Statutory safeguarding partners, in line with KCSIE 2025 and Working Together 2023
  • Approved data processors (e.g. our email delivery provider) under a written contract that meets UK GDPR Article 28

5. How long we keep personal information

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law. Enquiry-form data is retained for up to 24 months unless a placement or ongoing commissioning conversation is underway. Learner records are retained in line with statutory retention periods and our published Records Management & Retention policy.

6. Your rights

You have rights under UK GDPR to:

  • Be informed about how we process your data
  • Access a copy of your data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability where applicable
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is our lawful basis)

To exercise any of these rights, contact office@newseedseducation.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

7. Cookies and tracking
