Safeguarding at
New Seeds.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. We are committed to creating a safe environment where every learner is protected from harm.
Our Commitment
At New Seeds Education, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. We recognise that our learners may be particularly vulnerable due to their social, emotional, and mental health needs, and we take extra care to ensure they are protected.
We work in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025, Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, and local safeguarding partnership procedures. All staff receive regular safeguarding training and understand their duty to report concerns.
We believe that every child has the right to feel safe, be listened to, and be protected from harm. Our trauma-informed approach recognises the impact of adverse experiences and prioritises creating a safe, nurturing environment.
Our Safeguarding Principles
These principles guide everything we do to keep our learners safe.
It Could Happen Here
We maintain a culture of vigilance, recognising that safeguarding concerns can arise in any setting.
Child-Centred Approach
The welfare and best interests of learners are at the heart of all our decisions and actions.
Information Sharing
We share information appropriately and promptly with relevant agencies to protect children.
