Specialist Post-16 SEND Provision
Small-group, therapeutic-informed education for young people aged 16–25 with EHCPs — designed around each learner and delivered in partnership with families, schools and local authorities.
Proportionate provision. Ethical commissioning. Outcomes that last.
How we support young people, schools and commissioners
Four distinct services — one specialist team. Choose the entry point that best fits the young person, the school, or the commissioning need.
Working in Partnership
New Seeds Education supports learners with complex, persistent, and interacting needs — working collaboratively with families, mainstream schools, and local authorities to provide specialist intervention when required.
Our learners typically arrive following placement breakdown, time out of education, or annual reviews showing mainstream post-16 provision cannot meet their needs. We work alongside all partners to provide proportionate specialist provision — a safe, structured environment where learning and wellbeing can stabilise and grow.

Two Specialist Provisions Opening October 2026. One Therapeutic-Informed Model.
Two specialist SEND provisions opening October 2026 — New Seeds College – Albrighton (full-time post-16, ages 16–25) and Winchester Avenue College, Stoke-on-Trent (post-16 placements and part-time alternative provision). Both delivered consistently through the New Seeds SEEDS therapeutic-informed model, Triple Rs values and our 88-policy framework.

Our Triple Rs, On Our Walls
One curriculum, seven interdependent pillars
Every learner's programme is built around seven curriculum pillars — from functional English, maths and digital skills to vocational futures, careers and employability, preparation for adulthood, personal development, therapeutic and SEND support, and community, physical health and enrichment. Every pillar is delivered by specialists, mapped to EHCP outcomes and aligned to the four Preparation for Adulthood outcomes.
English, Maths & Digital for Adulthood
Functional English, maths and digital skills applied across vocational, community, workplace and independent-living contexts — NOCN Skills Awards stepping up to Functional Skills, with GCSE supported where appropriate.
SETPD, Vocational & Practical Futures
The flexible NOCN SETPD framework combines employability, personal development and vocational learning around each learner's strengths and destination — including specialist railway delivery at Albrighton.
Employability, Careers & Enterprise
Dedicated careers and employability education backed by real employer encounters, work tasters, work experience, supported internships and progression into apprenticeships or employment.
Preparation for Adulthood & Independent Living
PfA embedded across the timetable and mapped to the four national outcomes: Employment, Independent Living, Friends/Relationships/Community, and Good Health.
Personal Development, Regulation & Wellbeing
Intentionally planned personal development — confidence, emotional literacy, self-advocacy, decision-making, healthy relationships and safe use of the online world.
Therapeutic & SEND Support
Universal, targeted and specialist therapeutic support integrated with education — CBT and trauma-informed practice led by our BABCP-accredited Therapy Lead.
Community, Physical Health & Enrichment
Learning that extends beyond the classroom — travel training, community access, physical activity, outdoor learning, creative arts and interest-led enrichment.
You know your child best. We'll take it from there.
